Cheers is a 78t standard size what comes with the b4 i don't have the kit yet !

The kit come with 81 spur. 78/24 = 81/25. Check http://www.gearchart.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=chart.create for a full chart plot. Aint 8,45 final output a bit low? Eg Novak rec a output at 9,5 for a 7.5T(2wd buggy).

It depends a lot on the brand of motor, with the kit 81t spur I'd start on about a 23t pinion (on the small side for a 7.5) and go from there :)

I'll be using speed passion motors aswell looks like spur gears and pinions on the shopping list !

What do you achieve by using a smaller(or bigger) spur, exept from a wider range to use a handful of pinions?

Weight distribution on my B4.1
