As i will soon be without 1:1 IC car  I wondered how the outdoor/indoor (whichever applies to 1:10 off roaders) tracks are for getting to by public transport? From Sheffy.

Cheers!

I tried it once, it sucked ended up being an hour late for work so never tried it again.

But if you are serious here is a route planner
http://www.yorkshiretravel.net/journeyplanner/start.do

but i dont think its practical due to to the time and amount of changes, try an get a lift from someone and share petrol, unfortunatly I'm coming from the opposite direction ie Knaresborough

The Cleckheaton bus station is around a mile from the track, further along the same road. I'm sure you could take a train to Leeds or Bradford then a bus to there.
At worst if you had to take a taxi to the track from the bus station it would not be expensive.
