A long shot maybe but does anyone have any information on good model shops located in Kuala Lumpur? I'm heading there for a holiday and would like to try and pick up some RC bargains while I'm there (maybe some radio gear, engines or kits).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

within KL itself ..there's hobby shop in Ampang Shopping Centre. walking distance from KL City Centre.
It's owned by a lady and has been opened for a great number of years. Has lots of nitro stuff - engines, parts for Mugen, kyosho, etc ..

Outskirts of KL - there are 2 hobby shops within a new big shopping centre called "1-Utama". that's probably 30 mins from KLCC.

if you are going to Singapore, you might be able to find better variety and prices there.

Here are some shops in KL:
Hobby Haven (http://www.hobbyhaven.com.my/contact_us.php) (Yokomo)
TP Racing (http://www.tp-racing.com/main.htm) (Team Associated)
RC Planet (http://rcplanet.com.my/contact_us.asp)
Tamiya Underground (http://www.tamiya.com.my/index.cfm?menu=contactus&menuname=contact%20us) (Tamiya)

I happen to be paying KL a short visit now.
Only had time to visit Hobby Haven and TP Racing. They are about 5minutes away from each other so if you're pressed for time, they're good to visit.
I have ordered stuff from RC Planet's online shop. Good service.

Hope this helps.
