Been oneof them days i just want to cry :cry:

Today i went for an interview to work at the post office as a counter assitant. Got up at 8.30 and went up town at 9 to have my hair cut arrivedat my hair dressers and they dont open until 9.30 ok so i went to 2 others and they didnt open until 9.30 so i waited outside my usual hair dressers until openning time waited and waited 15 minutes late so the lady (lucy who's quiet fit) turns up and get my hair cut. By the time i get out there its 5 to 10 i get home just after 10 and my bus that get me up town for 11 oclock my job interview leaved at 10.20 so i had 20 minutes to get a shave shower and get dressed. and i just got dressed and i saw the bus go accross the end of the road. Bugger!!!! so i ring my nan and she says she wil give me a lift so anyway while im waiting i double checked i had everything i needed checked the e-mail and i knoticed i hadnt filled out this one form and i didnt have it!!! and i have no ink in my printer so rang the helpline and she said dont worry they will give you one at the interview and you can fill it in there so i asked here if there was anythign else i needed and she just said your NI card and this health decleration form. So arrive at the post office and speak to the manager and she says have you got your Multi Consent Form I stood there in silence (thinking to myself wtf is one of them) so i said no, she said ok np. then she said have you got your NI card, passport or birth certificate and proof off address. So she said we cant do the interview until you have these.

So im really really annoyed im having one hell of a day today ive had nothing but bad luck. So she said i could go back this afternoon at 2 oclock and at 2 oclock this afternoon i have a detist apointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So im going to get this stuff sorted then speak to my mum and see hat she says i dont feel like going back i just want to crawl into bed and cry :(

On a plus point i manged to get hold of some trinity shock bushings for my xx4 which arrived this morning and so did my cr rear hinge pins for my xx4 no more flappy brace!!!!

One word = PREPARATION.

1) Guessing at what time the hairdresser opens, being disappointed when they aren't open when you arrive - when one could have done it the day before or the day before that.
2) Waiting until after the haircut to sh!t, shower, and shave? And then have all of that leaving you running late?
3) Waiting until the morning of an interview to be surprised by a "form to filled out" ?
4) No ink in the printer ?
5) Calling the "help desk" the morning of the interview ?
6) Wondering "wtf" is a Multi Consent Form ?
7) Not having proof of address, or whatever ?
8) Conflict of importance between dentist appointment vs. job interview ?

Preparation is the keyword to adulthood, and getting along in life (and even RC racing).
Be prepared, and little can go wrong; don't be prepared and it'll seem as if everything is always going wrong.

;)

Give Ash' a break ..... at least he wants to work unlike most of the lazy good for nothing scum that line the street in most towns and cities these days. I'm not sure when having 15 kids by the time your 18 and claiming benefits for the rest of your life became socially acceptable

So Ash' wasn't the best prepaired person ever to go for an interview but lets remember most of us have a little more life experience than any guy his age is likely to have. So long as he learns from his mistakes and they don't upset anybody else we should just leave him be.

Good on you Ash, hope your new job works out ok for you.

at the end of it all if you're willing to work and make a living then good on you, like roger said, he's doing a better job than all the people living on benefit not giving the slightest interest in working.

Just be prepared to work your arse off for little pay for a while, i've been doing it for about two years, with another year left to go untill I can earn a 'real' wage.

I'd of rarther started out at your age instead of waiting till i was 19 to get off my arse and do something. keep at it, itl be worth it one day!

But its the people that are able to and choose to live of the Tax i pay and alot of other people do just to spend on fags, booze and drugs arses me off.

I don't think anyone meant any offence there. We all realise there are very genuine cases and sadly not everyone is able to work, this must be very frustrating and I for one would hate to be in that position.

I think Lee was referring to Paul, who believe it or not used to be a right proper lazy sod (j/k Paul!). But really, I'm proper chuffed for Ash getting his first job (after his first interview, just like me Ash :thumbsup:).

Ben when i posted that i havdnt been yet ive just finished now at 8.30 only a short shift was really good fun gut to crush stuff. and work with cheese. From my calclations the most popular cheese is "seriously strong cheese" as i put 7 box's of that stuff out. Ben im not till trained yet so no till work for me just yet i start my training on thursday.

The bad point was i was stacking the mild chedder when a lady reached for a tub of cottage cheese from one of the shelves that i was working below and she knocked a tub off and it went "SPLAT" on the the edge of th fridge and went all over my trousers.

I also got to use alot of the equipment used the cardboard bailer 3 times, plastic bailer once, Emptied 5 rollers, and used cleanign stuff.

Stan im on fresh.

Thanks for the kind words all. Ive worked 4 hours and im zonked where's my bed :p Got to do 8 hours tommorow :thumbsup::woot::woot:

This lady and man come to the till with a full trolley and start loading there items onto the belt i say "hi, would you like any help with your packing?" No reply i look at my trainer (mikes mum) i start scanning and then i finish and total it up and i said "Are you collecting the active kids voucher?" The man looked at me and then at his wife and he said "no speak english". I almost broke out in laughter and said your taking the piss but i kept my cool and carried on i then said "have you...." then i thouht they aint going to have a nectar card. Following that i asked if they had a car park ticket they didnt under stand what i mean so i said "automobile" and did a steering wheel action with my hands :p what a stupid thing to do :p they shook there head and they paid at least he got the tender right.

WELL DONE

My first propper job was fixing atomic bombs Wasnt as exciting as youd imagine although the workplace pranks were legendry ( and contravined numerous peace treaties :woot::woot: )

Labeling up a non fissile ( safe ) device as a fissile ( not very safe at all ) device then "acidently" dropping it off the power loader ( like the exoskeliton thing ripley uses in aliens ) in front of the target stooge whilst your in on it co workers are running around screaming is not funny at all ( no its fucking hilarious ) and watching it all back on site cctv in front of the now clued up stooge is realy not cricket ( cos cricket is boring and never funny and rarley causes grown men to cry ).

I uset to fix those card and plastic bailers as well if its a compressed air one and its faulty it'll break your arm if its a hydrolic one and its faulty it'll slowly trap your arm then tear it from your body.

Seriously ash if you havent been trained how to use the compactors get training before you use them again.

As for sunday i was working last sunday and i was working away and i thought god its gone quiet in here i carried on worknig then i realised about an hour and half later the shop had shut :p
