I have a yokomo in case you people didnt know.
I have not drove it yet because it's dirt season right now.
But when the new carpet track opens in reo I'll race it.
Bought it from Shodog on Tamiya club. Very nice dealer.
The mods I've done to it, removed that white spur with a B2/B3 spur gear...it worked.
I had that spur laying around for ages, but was a direct fit for this carpet car.
I also rebuilt those Japan shocks too, with 60wt in the rear, 35wt in the front.
I had one of these back in the 90`s, they were crap.
Shodog is a top bloke, no competition for yantits though:thumbsup:
Oh and your shock oil setup will be shocking to drive, this car had a lot of flex at the front anyway, i think i ran 100wt sometimes up front:thumbdown:

I thought the M2 had bigger shocks?
I think they did a later version ian, they also did a JAP version which had better/bigger shocks, these shocks were useless, they were far too small:thumbdown:

When the BX came out:thumbsup::D
Is'nt Chris Grainger the current UK snoring car Champ with a Yok?, to beat Mandy Moore, current World Champ the car can't be too bad.
they did release a good tourer yes but that doesn`t count, its boring
The BX is good in the right hands but i do feel there are faster cars out there, i have never driven one (i would like too) but even neil seems to "struggle" with it.

I think its a matter of driving style with the BX, I'm way faster with mine, then with the B44 I bought to replace it. The B44 is possibly easier to drive, but I just don't get the same lap time out of it.

The BX is really good in the wet and dirt, any other condition and it's a right handful.

It ran fine with the setup I had for carpet....:bored:
Actually I have not ran it yet, but with the upgrades that was included on it
seemed like a steal at 100 bucks.
I doubt I will beat Tc5's with it, but we shall see in the fall.
Summer is dirt season..

How do you know it ran fine if you didn`t run it
I have never known anyone to post as much crap as you do, even ashley makes more sense

I have lots of spur gears that will fit including this one.
I put a B2/B3 spur on it for now.

That's what you think, I can drive this to victory lane.
Maybe I will be undefeated at reo's carpet track in the fall months.
Then when Action-hobby starts up time for the 501x.;)
I wonder if the BX parts will fit the 501x....maybe....:/

Maybe not. The 501X is a tamiya, and the other is a Citroen.

I raced with it back in the late 90's and in comparison with newer cars it's really old concept. If you'll race againist newbies than you can drive it to victory lane (or if other drivers burn batteries, loose wheels etc.)

I like this old chassis though, I just dunno if TC5's will be killing me or not.
I just wish more on-road cars had the saddle design, so switching to
on-road back to off-road will be alot easier for me.
I equipped it with a updated brushless system 50mph is what it felt like.
It did collect alot of dirt and debris on that oval I was running it on.:eh?:

I'm racing currently all classes with saddles - it means 2wd/4wd buggy and TC (Xray T2008) with no problems.
If you like this car then ok, but I still don't think it was that great buy.

It's an ok car I did update it since I had 501x parts left over.
I put the 501x battery posts and 501x carbon fiber stays on it
to switch packs faster.
I know it's odd to use parts from another vechicle, but they did
fit this chassis.
