Booking in is now open for Round 4 on the 15th July
http://www.ukshortcourse.com/entry.html
This is a change in venue and surface from Holbeach.
We're going old school and bringing the trucks to some real grass.
Apologies to those that had already made accommodation plans for the Holbeach round but the change is beyond either the series or Holbeach clubs control.
The venue fact sheet will also be available in the next few days on the web site
Cheers
Chris

I need to consider whether to book a hotel or travel very early Sunday. I will be able to make this decision when I know if Saturday practice will be available.
Fact sheet please.

Agree there shouldn't be any practice on a grass track as they do wear unlike boring astro...
But camping should be available bearing in mind it's a national series and some of us will have a few hours of driving to and from event.
It's not like there has been a lot of notice with this one for getting cheap hotel deals either!

I'm sure we could sneek 30 or so drivers into 1 room at the local travelodge...that's about £2 each!..,

There must be something on in area that weekend as everything seems either booked up or £100+ a night!
British F1 is weekend before which is probably the reason,
4am start it is
Maybe Telstar can reconsider their camping option?

Hi Guys,
We should be able to arrange on site camping, the landlord charges £5 per tent per night. If there's enough people wanting to camp then I'll get it arranged.

You've finally seen sense and got a XXX-SCT, with LRP running gear of course?
i'm in for camping if its available... sooner sleep in a field night before than do a 3 hour cross country drive before a race meeting!... don't even get to tickle a motorway to this one :o

The weather forecast looks ok for Sunday, Will it be access to the site that might be a problem if there is heavy rain leading up to the event?

If the track is waterlogged could be good for hovercraft racing. The fields opposite my house have 5cm standing water on them.

We’ve had word from Matt at Telstar that the track condition is not looking good
The forecast is not good for the next couple of days, so the grass track will not have a chance to dry out.
The decision has been taken to move the meeting to Coventry on the Astroturf track as this is the closest venue to the Telstar track, so hopefully will mean the least inconvenience to drivers.
We hope this will be acceptable to all the drivers and see this as the most sensible option rather than postponing the meeting as there are no dates available in the calendar.
Obviously if any pre-paid drivers require a refund then please use the enquiry form on the UK Short Course web site to let us know.
Our thanks have to go out to Matt and the Telstar team for their efforts and thank you for making the hard decision in good time, thus allowing us to move the meeting.
Look forward to seeing you all Sunday.
Thanks
Chris
