Without wanting to state the obvious, this looks 100% like it is going to be a wet round, unbeleiveable for July.

We are at the track yesterday, couple of small puddles on the track which would need removing or avoiding. The rest of the grass area was definately bringing water to the surface when walked on, but would be ok for a car.

We are going to monitor the weather all week, plan is to revisit the track on Saturday and lay out a track.

Keep a watch on this thread for information.

Were off to the British GP this weekend so neither myself or Jamie will be there. Looks like there will be a few spins and maybe crashes with this weather...... hopefully.

With the rain we have had, please stay on the road around the track area, do not go into the field as you will get stuck. Please park considerately as well, we should get everyone into the hard standing car park, but if you do choose to park outside keep tight to the fence so that cars can pass on the road.

Toilets and hot food etc will be available during the day as the moto x are on.

Track is down and cut, no issues with meeting going ahead just now. Ground was surprisingly dry, and perfect for racing.

We will be checking it again tomorrow night after the rain that is expected has passed.

We do not expect any rain on Sunday going by the current forecasts.

I'm gonna have to give this one a miss sadly, the weathers been so minging recently I really don't fancy standing about in the rain and mud. I'll definately be at Stonehaven at the end of this month tho.

Looks like round 5 was poorly attended.
Couldnt manage along unfortunately due to family commitments.
All going well I should be attending the next round up at Stonehaven.
Looking forward to it already. The guys up there always put on a good meeting.
Lets just hope we get some good weather for it and more racers turn up to support it.

Kenny,

It was a really poor attendance, amazingly there were more 2wd than 4wd which is a first. I guess summer holidays, weather, GP, and tennis meant a few stayed away.

Still, the track was less boggy than round one and also the grass is miles smoother and didnt rut up like before. It flowed well too as a layout. Still claggy though and stripping the cars after each round got tedious.

Some good banter in the pits and some good racing, the traffic in the finals made for some interesting times in both classes.

Roll on 2 weeks time. Stoney has organised some good weather. Hoping for a good turnout.
David

Yip, poor show number wise but turned out to be not a bad meeting.

Well done Dave, your win was well deserved. Couldn't live with you all day.

Well done to Jason too in 4wd, great driving all day.

Let's hope for better weather at Stoney, can't face cleaning another car!
