Winter Race Ireland
04-07-2012, 07:40 AM
Hello racers throughout Ireland, UK, Belgium and the World!
Last year we ran a hugely successful meeting, namely the Winter Race Ireland which was won by Tom Cockerill and we want to repeat the feat this year.
Last year's oOple report is here: http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/2011winter-race-ireland/
We've already had enquiries about the event from all over Ireland and the interest level is high throughout the UK too!
The format will be the same as last year
Day 1 - Open Practice 9am to 9pm - Friday 26th October
Day 2 - 2wd 1hr practice, 2 x 3min timed practice, 4 x 5min heats, 3 x 5min finals for all - Saturday 27th October
Day 3 - 4wd 1hr practice, 2 x 3min timed practice, 4 x 5min heats, 3 x 5min finals for all - Sunday 28th October
More information will be released as the details are finalised - hopefully by the end of the month.
TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST AND TO BE ADDED TO OUR INFO MAILING LIST PLEASE PM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND HOMETOWN/COUNTRY TO ME

Hey Guys
Just wanted to say im really looking forward to it after the success of last years meeting. Yes ok it was a little cold :( but atleast it was dry.
Considering it was your first big meeting, I think it went really well and look forward to seeing how you are planning on improving it this time round.
I know that Cockers is planning on coming along with DC and a few others. Lets hope more Brits make the trip seeing as it is not close to Christmas this time
Hope the venue is sorted soon as want to get flights and hotel booked.

David,
Good stuff. It will be great to have you all over racing again.
We're working hard on the venue. We want to make sure that it's all confirmed before anything is announced.

Great, really hoping to make it over to this one, although can't take much time off work so it may be a Fri-Sun for us.
Keep us posted :)

I got asked a few times at the oOple race about where this event was being held. UK racers are a bit concerned that they havent heard as the closer to the event the higher their travel costs.
P.S. when asked, I just said I wasnt anything to do with the club and didnt have any more info about it - but said to keep checking the website and that it would most likely be announced on oOple as well.
Hope that was ok :)
