Issues, or rumours ?? Read about both so not convinced either way now !
Would be DSM2 (new Tx) although i think the Rx is still the DSM ones for some reason. HW 2.1 ESC with mod software if that makes a difference ??

I run that very setup with absolutly no problems at all. Its a Dx3c with Xerun brushless motor and Bullistorm esc with Hobbywing software. Did use a Xerun esc too but it wasnt upgradeable (it was old version but unused) and so got the Bullistorm as its cheap and very good.

Got hobbbywing xtreme stock esc + spektrum DX2S. No issues here whatsoever.
But there were issues with my savox servo with spektrum. servo would glitch, due to high power drain. so power cap (SPM1600) cost £2 solved all that.

No issues at all with Spectrum DSM1 (M11 module and micro Rx) andHobbywing in any of my cars. The only DSM issues I know of are when combined with the Orion speedos...

following other learned friends most of the issues appear to be when inolving savox servos rather than hobbywing esc
i run a spekky rx DSM in a mardave with a bullistorm esc on 1 s lipo and no isues (no power cap)
if i plug in a savox servo i have to run a lipo booster to help
