What is the most cost effective Foam F1 tyre set that works on carpet?

Open to any ideas.

Thanks

Hey Simon , whenever I race at teesside with my f1 I always used the kit f109 tyres with good results,Paul @ Cleveland models used to stock them, think they are roughly, £15 for a rear pair and £13 for a front set, glued up ready to go

If you're gonna use the foams in the ad you linked to then buy from Alex at the club as he is doing them cheaper with a club discount.
He had them last Saturday but not sure if anyone used them.

Don't forget Stockton Modeller (link in signature line). They may have some F1 tyres in stock. Not on web site though. Ask for Adam. Not sure of the make though. 10% discount for club members.

Double pinks go straight onto F103 rims, but need a nats nidger trimming off the edge and trueing. They actually work really well on carpet and get better as they get older/more addi as they soften up.they also work OK on tarmac.Bad luck with AMC,he can be a bit slow at times, but he's not usually that bad.

Looks good i might have to try some

Also after talking with Kamtech the schumacher donuts should go straight on the front rims (unmounted they are 30mm wide)

Dont think the contacts will work as they will only give an OD of around 52mm

Contacts work OK,but you need to run an adjustable height upright, like the TRG ones really on the front,or you will only get a few runs on them.I've run them for a while now and they are worth a try-and cheap.Really needs Schumacher to make some dedicated F1 foams :) ( hint hint if anyone from schumacher reads this) Rears can be glued together then trimmed, but the softest is still a tad hard. The Gecko
tyres work in a similar way,but are a tad larger diameter, but wear rate is quite high on tarmac with them.

No one stocks them in the UK that I know of.Rc Mart stock them and there are a few guys on Ebay have them usually.I usually use Jasons Store or RDVG on Ebay.both are good.Hope that helps. If you get them, put some cyno around the carbon around the ball cup holes,as they can be a bit weak around that area.Tamiya also do an alloy upright, but I havnt tried them myself.Tonys Tamiya Parts (uk based) on ebay have them, but they are scarily expensive.
