Ok so only 2 weeks until the next round of this excellent summer series:thumbsup:
It back to an old school flat grass track with a few jumps and a tabletop thrown in the mix:D
This will be held at our Marshfield venue on the large field outside with easy access and plenty of space to pit/park.
We will post a time schedule/directions etc for those who haven't been before later this week:cool::cool:
Any concerns/moans feel free to pm me as this thread is purely for information of the days racing

if I wasn't moving house that weekend I'd be getting an entry in for sure.
but on the positive side, it's almost guaranteed to be great weather just to annoy me as I lug box after box of crap all day :)

Please keep those entries coming in nice and early on the wrca website:thumbsup:
Don't forget we are running a different track on the grass this sunday as a warmup club day:)

Few questions I've had so to clear them up:
1) Generators are ok to use on the field area
2) Disabled rostrum will be setup as usual
3) The track will be grass with some man made features
4) Toilets inc disabled are available in the hall
5) We will NOT be supplying power for people to charge
6) Access to the field is from a gate on a single track lane be careful both entering and leaving
Once we sort a timetable I'll post it up for you all:thumbsup:
See you Sunday

I'm going to have to pull out guys - sorry
I've been looking forward to this since last sundays' little outing - I even went out and bought a 6.5 & new tyres all round. but a short notice gig at the fleece in bristol has popped up and the band have been waiting a long time to play there!
maybe I'll see you all at the next club day.
silver lining: if I'm not attending, a perfect rain free day is pretty much guaranteed...

Drive slowly down the lane and you will see the gate open onto the field and the track/pitting area to your left:thumbsup:
Please drive slowly on the field and DO NOT wheelspin/handbrake turn, if you do so you will be removed from the event ZERO TOLERENCE!
Apologies if this sounds harsh however i don't wish to stop our use of this venue from people Having a laugh in their big car!!!

You not playing Craig?
can't steve - a last minute slot on a huge gig at the fleece in bristol came up & I've got to be at the studio to load up at half three.
only knew about it at half 11 on friday morning but it's one of those gigs you can't pass up.
I did think about coming along just for practice & the heats, but that wouldn't be fair on whoever I bumped in the qualifying order, especially if i squeezed myself into the A!
Excellent day today guys. Loved the flowing track
Still really sorry about punting Andy when he was lapping me, that darn blind spot

Tip top day on the grass...pretty sure that's my first regional win ever today in 4wd...even after Ian's helping hand! ;) Certainly made the final a very close one with Spencer, so no worries dude, sorry for venting my thoughts so immediately, not really any need for that on my part...it's just racing after all!!!
Great racing in the finals with both Spencer and Adam today...really good to see close wheel to wheel and respectful driving
Good job Cobra:thumbsup:

Thank you to all that helped out today to both setup and pack away
Hope everyone had a good time on the ever changing track surface from wet to dry and then blown out corners for the finals :o
We'll change the ramps for next round as well :p

Absolutely amazing days racing. . . . Well done Cobra boys:thumbsup::thumbsup:
2 WRCA A finals in a row now WOOOOOOOP:o
I think I earnt myself a beer today, and any of the COBRA boys who can make it can have one to!! Glad all you racers enjoyed the large track Dave designed and his daughter picked, all those who turned up on Saturday to mow, hump and dump track markings, lay the ropes, mark the track lines (the rain must of chased the local teenage life away after a couple of moved ropes), prepped the container so everything could be out and ready for an early start.
I know we had a bit of rain, it made the track challenging, but how quick did it dry up!! And in the end become really dusty.
And thanks to all the members and non members who stayed behind to help clear the track area and pack it all away in the container, without you guys, I think me and Cakes would still be there now!!
Cheers

standings updates chaps on the wrca site.
Even the mix of weather couldn't dampen a good days racing.
Well done to all involved in the organisation.
Lets hope the next round has an equal or better turnout.
