Hi Guys we've got some 10th only dates up for the Ledbury summer series, additional to this buggies will still be run on club days.

1/10 Only Series - Electric 2wd /4wd + Trucks
24 May 1/10 Series (Sat of Bank Holiday)
08 Jun 1/10 Series
07 sept 1/10 Series
21 Sept 1/10 Series

Please get your entries in ASAP with Doug ; contact@ledburymcc.com
as I have a feeling places will fill up fast.
These days have been done to hopefully not conflict with any regional or national, if they do - let us know.
I've had to post this here as I couldn't post it in the events organiser.
If any mods want to move it please do!
Cheers
Gordy

Hi Gordy,

I am planning on booking in for the Ledbury Summer series, My friend who also would like to come asked me to ask you if Lipo's are allowed at the summer series?

Is this gonna be on the same patch of grass as the Regional was run?

strobe
19-05-2008, 12:16 PM
I did hear yesterday that it was on the same patch of grass as the 4wd regional event last month.

gordy
19-05-2008, 04:30 PM
Yes it is on the same patch of ground as the regional. Doug has decided not to have a limit on numbers, Thursday would be the last day for booking in online. But to be honest even if you turned up on the morning we'd fit you in somewhere!
I did hear a couple of people at the regional say the track was too bumpy, just wondered what peoples honest opinion was?
If we don't know we can't fix it. We didn't want it too smooth as we felt it then became glorified touring, but on the other hand we didn't want it too bumpy - so let us know.

strobe
19-05-2008, 05:32 PM
Really liked the track.
Only improvement would be to turn the double jump after the slab section into a table top or a better type of jump than what is already there. Bomb hole is ace.

gordy
19-05-2008, 05:42 PM
yea I agree with you, those jumps were a git - the reason they were so slow, was we were trying to slow the lap times down, as we were concerned the lap times would be too quick. But they have settled quite well and to be fair Roger Mills was clearing them consistantly last Wednesday night. But yes in the long term I think it needs to be turned into a table top.

Will there be a food wagon there.
Gordy. What night is your club night.

gordy
21-05-2008, 04:12 PM
people tend to come down on a wednesday night for a practice session, I'll be there cutting the grass - but we normally run every sunday, either practice or a meeting.
Don't think there will be a butty wagon this week

RogerM
21-05-2008, 04:40 PM
Stobe .... get down there mate, great track to practice on as it's so kind on tires.

Club membership is £14 a year but if your not a member you'll be asked for a small contribution to the site up-keep, very reasonable really.

The track tends to be basic at club nights due to the number of people to lay it out / pack it away ..... the more people the better a track can be run .... either way the features are always there so still great fun.

Thanks all at Ledbury, had a great day. Those guys with the shotguns never got me once LOL the back of my van looks a bit worse for wear though:( it'll polish out:lol:

Track was great although I think it could be made even better if it wasn't for the dusty sections on the bank and in the bowl, if those sections were either grassed or even astro then I think the track could be something really special.

it may well be an anything goes day - but I won't be going, as the missus has just revealed that her parents are coming to stay on that weekend. :(
