Hi, I have a 6000mah Lipo but my charger only goes up to 5000mah,
Can I still charge my 6000mah battery on the 5000mah setting or could this damage the battery or mess up its memory etc,

Thanks for a reply,

Col

No problems with charging at 5000mah. Just takes 1.1hrs to charge rather than 1hr.

Lipo has no memory.

Thanks for that col,
Charging at 5000mah now,
Although the battery is probably too big to go into my car, lol,
I'll have to hold it in with straps instead of b4 hold down plate, .
Thanks again,

Just remember that Its allways safe to charge a Rc lipo up to 1c:). Some of the newer cells take up to 3c but 1c is allways safe

Ive also read that some manufacturers are now saying to charge at 1C exactly - no lower and no higher.
They stated that lower rates can reduce the life and capacity of the battery.

Cant think why, but remember being surprised reading it.

EDIT - though I would be happy to charge my 6A batts at 5A like you are doing. I dont think it would be a problem at all.
