Many of you may have already noticed, but our DMS Racing shop website is down briefly this evening for some basic maintenance, security improvemnets and processing updates.

We suffered a couple of security breaches earlier today in the programming side of the site and we are in the process of restoring the pages, fixing the links and improving the deterants to prevent this from occuring again in the future.

Apologies to anyone trying to get on the site at present and we are doing everything possible to get it back up and running very soon. No data has been lost, nothing that cannot be recitified and of course no customer details can be accessed since they are held in our totally different, fully encrypted internet secure shopping cart facilty and not on the site itself.

I will of course update when it is back online (hopefully later this evening or early tommorow morning)

Thanks, Darren, DMS Racing

Some of you may of noticed that the website was down again this evening from around 8pm until just after midnight. We did suffer another hacker attempt, but this time we have managed to pin down the entry point into our database.

Hopefully the site should be fine now, but we wont know for another 48 hours or so once the hackers have tried another few entry attempts (and hopefully failed).

It appears that the hacker is from the far east and has nothing better to do than take us down just for laughs!!! Apparently there is quite a bit of this going on at the moment from the far east, some of it connected to the olympic games protests etc (whatever that has to do with us I will never know)

All data gets erased but we have an hourly back up with our host so once we fix the problem each time we just restore to an hour prior to the hack.

It appears they have no motive, they leave no nasty banner up when the work is done and no forward links to other websites either just fill the website with loads of crap, naff scripting, delete our files then proceed to put their hand back down their pants and get off on what havoc they have done!!!! sad....I wouldnt mind so much if they were trying to make a point.

But apologies to anyone who could not "browse" and hopefully we are getting closer to a permanent fix of the situation, no major product updates will be added until we have erased the problem completly so please bare with us.
