Right my X6 conversion kit should be with me tommorow thanks to the guys and girls at DMS.

My question is what spares should I order? I mean i have a rake load of B4 spares so sandard associated parts are not an issue, but what Xfactory parts should I be buying?

I am thinking Rear wishbones and and a spare shocktower at the moment, but what else?

Can't wait to get this car

Darren said the X6 was selling like hot cakes.

He had also sold 3 X5`s this morning too:o

The Xfactory cars did look the best on the track all weekend in all the team drivers hands

:) I have been thinking about getting one since the indoor finals at worksop.

Right added to the list :)

have you got the bk2 axels ?

I haven't even got the car yet  But I might have some of those, they make a lot of difference?

yes they do make a huge difference. If you don't have them the driveshafts pop out of the outdrives unless you have a spacer in the shocks. I might be right in saying that DMS stock these but am not sure.

I would recommend the following:

BK2 Axles (LOSA9986, DMS have them) - These allow you to run more droop to make the car better over the bumps.

E-Speed Hangers - Mainly a setup preference but most find them to be better all round, giving more steering with no real disadvantage.

Spares wise I would look at getting rear wishbones (just in case), not sure what else. I've not seen many X-Factory parts break.

Rear toe-in bars are nice to have also

only x fac bits i have broken is the rear inner hinge pin block and have bent a few hinge pins so get a couple of each as they arnt expensive. other than that i tend to carry a set of rear wishbones ashock tower and mount. the only weak points i have found is the standard ae bits so have bought hop ups from k fac for the front shock tower and a solid servo saver as well.

mods wise i can recomend the 2 e speed bits and bk2 stub axles. shocks depends on your choice but most of the team use losi shocks as do i and find them very tunable and good on the car.

obviously big e has got some rather good setups that most of us pinch off of him but if you need any advise on the car then any of the team or people on here will help. welcome to the x fac family

Most of the guy's have covered it. Mainly I would say rear arms (only ever done 2), rear toe in block and some spare inner hinge pins.

Not much else goes as long as you put a K factory front tower on.

You really want the bk2 axles and those lovely blue bits as well that some clever chap came up with :woot:

E, do you always run the rear camber hangers?

Mike Hudson

only xfac part i've ever broken is the rear hinge pin brace after a 1 off bad landing and i understand they have now beefed them up :woot:

Pretty much run them all the time yeah, only time I would take them off is if I had some serious steering going on. I do flip them sometimes as this changes it a little. Basically if they are down it is a little more rear traction but less on power steering, pointing up a little less traction and a little more on power.

They are now beefed to the max :D Hinge pins though do bend so it is really worth while having a few pair of them.

All orders placed today before 5:30pm were sent out in the post for delivery tommorrow, if Ellis would be so kind to stop winning maybe it would give us a chance to catch our breath on X factory stock control!!!!LOL

Only parts actually out of stock after todays flurry are DDP and kit Ti hinge pins for X6, some spurs for X5 and wings for X6. VERY low on E Speed camber links now, rear wishbones, rear towers and wing mounts, everything else is in good stock (ish)

Delivery due from X Factory within two/three days, another large one was rushed across to Chazz today and will be leaving the USA tommorrow, should arrive 10 days or so (customs depending) Once in all items will be back up to large multiples once more on the shelves

Big delivery from Horizon of Losi spares today which tops us up nicely with the XX4 orientated parts such as bulkheads, shock towers, BK2 CVD axles and wishbones, delievery due wednesday from CML with all B4 parts for the X6 too only item desperate from them at present is more K Factory B4 front shock towers.

haven't really broke to much on the x6, a rear toe in plate, a single rear wishbone, and a front tower b4 part, but having said that we do carry most of the spares just in case, if you haven't got it then you cant repair it.espeed rear hangers are a must imho.

Still working at 10:30 PM...

We have an order from DMS just arrived and will try to get most of it on the way tomorrow (Tuesday).

Just received a new batch of both E-Speed parts from the machine shop. Will send them off to be anodized tomorrow, should be back in about 10 days.

Lots to do.

Is there one part no for the losi shocks or do you have to buy the parts seperately ? Also the losi drive shafts do the CR versions work ( the ones with the white nylon UJ)

super__dan
13-05-2008, 04:05 PM
I don't think there is a part number to buy complete shock sets, though can be picked up 2nd hand quite cheaply.

Losi bones don't fit because the diff end is much bigger than the AE diff outdrives. So you want BK2 axles and the stock B4 CVD bones.

Lee
13-05-2008, 04:05 PM
Seperate part numbers steve.

Also its just the BK2 studs you need they will fit onto the B4 drive shaft;)

With the losi shocks what pistons and springs do i need ?

Lee
14-05-2008, 10:25 AM
Buy them all steve but i think the ones most commonly used are black, red and orange

Cockerill
14-05-2008, 10:27 AM
I would go for Red & Black pistons, Black & Blue front springs and Red & Pink rear springs at a minimum, ideally tho it would be nice to have the whole range just in case.

depends on the track but we use red orange blue black and drilled neutral pistons so most of them really
springs rear pink red white and we have used yellow but i know there not a favorite of some of the team drivers, front springs black blue green silver

0° hubs are what you need.

They are just nice to have so you can adjust the vertical height if needed.

Great, thanks! :)

As to mounting:
"3 flipped high" = std. outer/upper mounting?
"E Speed High" = same?

One more: When you state that a piston is "drilled"... can you explain? (size? All holes? And why?)

Big E
14-05-2008, 03:49 PM
3 flipped high and Espeed high is the same, just when we were testing we just called it hole position 3.

If it says drilled red then I have drilled a natural (60) piston to be a red so 3 holes at 56. If it is not a straight forward one like that then I will have the actual 3 hole sizes listed.

Hope that all makes sense.

E.

Can't see them on Nortechracings webshop...

Is there any point in having 0,5 and 1 degree Rayspeed hubs as well, or is 0 degree what I need only?
Edit: Nevermind, I just ordered the 0 degree ones...
