Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd add a race-report from one of our drivers. I will put the set-up in the set-up section!:D
Heat one – started 3rd in heat 2 of 4wd… car seemed relatively settled but did suffer from some grip role. I only made one or two mistakes and I finished first overall in round 1 with 14 laps in 314.
Heat two – car again was settled and I improved to 14 laps in 310 however two other people improved and I was third overall after round 2.
Heat three – same as the previous round, car was very settled and again I improved with 14 laps in 308. I finished third overall again in that round.
Heat four – the clouds began to come over the track and there was a bit of drizzle and a brief shower. Track was still dry but a bit “greasy” in a few areas (cobbles and some of the astro). If anything the rain helped as it eliminated the grip role issue and I could push the car that little bit more… I improved again and FTQ’d with 15 laps in 311, set the fastest lap of the round with a 19.71 and had an average lap of 20.75.
The final – I got an ok start to the final but was a little slow to react, managed to keep 1st into the first corner and led from then on… I decided I didn’t need to drive the car as harshly and slowed down just a touch and concentrated and clean laps... I won the final as shown below:
