I have used one of these in the past with no problems.

Only use the capacitors sold by HW. I am sure there are plenty of people who will disagree, but until you have experienced the lower motor performance you get from using any alternative to the HW stuff, you'll believe anything!

I've never experienced any problems with the speedo, but I do know people who have, by using the 'wrong' capacitor. People go to extraordinary lengths to pay extra £££s for the best motor and cells, and then want to scrimp on a few coppers for a capacitor! Use the original equipment is my advice, it has restored the edge to my motors. HTH :)

What's the difference between these 2 capacitors. My original was the 2cap version, is the 4 cap better?

Depending on the application the 4 part is yes
Basically the more powerful the motor ideally the bigger the capacitor what motor are you running?

Best to replace like with like.

There is some talk in on-road circles that the quad cap gives better brakes - having tried them both, I can't tell the difference.

Running a 6.5T orca rx2 in a 4wd. I've borrowed a 4 cap unit and oddly enough the braking feels smoother.
