I have recently purchased the Tekin RS Pro and the Hotwire and last weekend I had it all hooked up to my laptop so I could personalise the settings.

When I first connected it, it downloaded the latest software onto the ESC. Having updated the software though meant what I saw on the computer screen didnt entirely match up with what the user guide online displayed, although it wasnt hugley different so was no real problem.

The problem I am having though is with the throttle curve profiles. The default is linear (profile 3), which is fine, but I did try changing this to a softer initial throttle response. When I click for it to save the settings I have changed, it saves every setting I have entered for all the other variables, but when I exit out of the software and then go back in, whilst all my other settings are as I set them, the throtle curve is always still showing as profile 3..... :eh?:

So.... is there something different I have to do to save a change to the throttle curve, or is there a bug in the new software release?

Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Or am I just being a muppet...... :p

I have not had this issue, pm rpike on here, he is the Tekin development manager.

I had a very similar problem with version 212 whereby the minimum throttle setting kept defaulting back to '10' (all other settings saved ok).

I re-updated my RS Pro by re-downloading the 212 software from the Tekin website which cured the problem.

Maybe worth giving it a try :)

Thanks Arran, it is worth a try! Think it was v213 it downloaded at the weekend? I will try downloading it again and see if it makes a difference.

Should be on v223 (I think)

What timing profile are you using? When you chose to alter the throttle profile did you choose a "C" or custom or simply curve 1 or 2?

When you hook up your RS does the "current software" show 223?

I checked tonight and it is version 223 I am running and I just chose throttle profile 2, I didn't try to create a custom one... :eh?:

What radio gear are you using? Can you set your throttle response profile on the tranny instead? Personally I use the linear profile on my tekins, but I have played with exponential throttle curves on the tranny.
To smooth-out power delivery I use the "current limiter" setting on the "Throttle" Tab. This does not effect top end speed, just the harshness of power delivery when pushing the trigger. It help in low traction tracks.
I usually run 70-80 on my B4.1/C4.1, but have gone as low as 50 at the oople race to try help tame my trigger finger. I've now switched from a spectrum wheel radio to KO sticks and found it much much better in that respect.

I assume that is TP2 through the hotwire?
