Hi guys

I currently use quite an old 40mhz futaba 3gr-fs. Fed up of buying aa batteries and charging rechargeables aa's for mine and my sons transmitter takes forever.

Seen loads of lipos for tx on eBay, but none of them quote my particular tx. Does anyone know if it will be the same as a 3pk, for example?

Thanks
Andy

Measure the battery holder size and go from there

Best also check that your model has the connector in the battery tray to plug it into.

Not the end of the world if not as you can always solder one in to the end positive and negative terminals but it's a bit of a faff and the material those contact tabs are made of don't take solder all that well normally.

The 3Gr has a plug that connects the + and - battery terminals to the main board in the transmitter. If looking into the battery box, the plug can be seen in the top left hand corner. Once the plug is disconnected, a Futaba battery plug will plug onto the terminal pins. Just make sure you remember, or make on the board which terminal is +.

Thanks for the help guys. Got a turnigy 1450 off eBay as someone suggested via pm. Plugs straight in and away you go.
