To save a bit of time wondered if anyone on here knows there Tv's??

My Sony Bravia 42" has the dreaded black lines on the screen so it's on its way out (not too happy as its 3 years old)

I'm after a new tv (not Sony!) 42" with Internet option on it, sub £700

Any help would be great....

If its just coming up to 3 years old sony guarantee is still valid.
When you buy a new one Marks and spencer offer a free 5 year warranty on all Led,s above 26" so they may be worth a look if they have what you decide on.

Im not a tech head but I'm loving my recently bought Panasonic tx-l37e3ob
My dad has a Samsung of similar age & spec but the Panasonic picture quality far out weighs that of the Samsung
There well may be someone on here come along & say yes but the two brands use the same this & the same that but I know what I see with my eyes
Another thing to remember is that if you are relying on the tv set for sound rather than a surround sound system/sound bar, the Panasonic has very good quality sound as there casing is larger at the bottom allowing for more beefier speakers, my dad's Samsung sound quality is very tinny & dead in comparison Because of the much smaller speakers
Panasonic all the way for me, end of the day you get what you pay for.

I always checkout trusted reviews website to see what's out there.
I bought my tv from John Lewis (5yr warranty).
Hard to recommend at tv as there is so much choice these days.
Internet tv is nothing special if you ask me but I've heard Samsung are the best at it.
I use a 46" Sony and a cheapo 42" Hitachi (£299) from Argos.
The Hitachi is basic but awesome for the cash

Have a scan on hotukdeals. You normally get some decent offers posted on there...

I bought a LG 42" LED smart TV about 2 months ago and think it's awesome.

It has iPlayer/netflix/lovefilm built in and connects wirelessly to our home network easily.

3 USB, 4 HDMI inputs.

I connect my external HDD to the USB and can watch all my films and TV shows that I've downloaded with no codec issues.

It was £549 :)

I bought this from John Lewis about 12 months ago and I have to say it is possibly the best picture quality on a TV I have ever seen. 3D also, with free glasses (cost me £60 a pair at the time :bored:) and Smart TV with built in WiFi - awesome telly and just under your budget :)
