Hi,
When using slim mini pin on a 2wd front, do you put foams in them? Glue them on narrow or wide wheel? Do you use it only on carpet tracks or also astroturf?

When using narrow pins i use wide wheels with foam cut to the width of the wheel.

In the UK we run minipikes almost exclusivly on astro as most of our tracks are not 100% astro like on the continent. On a high grip 100% astro track mini pins unless you take like 2 inner and 2 outer rows off will give too much steering, most run stagger ribs.

yeah I can imagine that. I saw danny McGee running minipins on carpet in paris this winter. Wanted to try it in kampenhout (Belgian GP) as I always have understeer there :-)

I too could not get enough steering from staggers in Belgium. However they would have to be VERY worn pins to be drivable, or alternativly I suspect half worn mini spikes might be good there with the inside and outside rows off.

I have tried minipin many times but never found a way to remove enough steering to make the car driveable.
