Anyone planning on going to do any of these dates..??

I know its a long way but the track looks amazing.

Id be interested in going if any of the other more northern boys were aswel.

Im in grimsby and would probably be going M1 way ( i think ), i wouldnt mind doing the driving if people wanted to meet on route. Ive got a Discovery so space probably wouldnt be a problem.

Its not 100% yet as i am trying to get the time off, but just thought id see what the interest was

- October 29th
- November 26th
- January 28th
- Febuary 25th
- March 25th

These are the dates at the moment Jimmy to save u searching.

Must admit it will be my first proper offroad bash, but looks fun.

Im probably going to be ok for doing them all, but it would save us all i guess if there were some car sharing going on

Just wanted to say that anyone thinking about it will not be disappointed by the track, when you get it right it's just so rewarding to drive, it flows so smoothly and you can get a really good rythm going on all parts of the track

The painting of track markers is nearly done now so some more details pics & possibly video clips will start appearing, i'm sure then you'll be even more interested :D

I don't think Lee's quite decided on a Tyre yet, although BB Spikes seems like an idea as he said they work well in the Wet and Dry and obviously don't wear at the same rate as Pins...

You're probably best to e-mail him to be honest: leemartin_uk@hotmail.com

Thanks,

This is the only pic Lee's posted up yet, pre-Astro, and obviously not finished (quite an old pic)

Lol, thats kinda cheating though! Saying that Nicks closer too....damn :D
A track within 100 miles is no bad thing either way though!

Haha the rostrum "is" to the right, but it hadn't arrived when that pic was taken, the Rostrum will blow you away :D

Yeah it's actually in a village called Headley, inbetween Newbury & Kingslcere on the A339 (Head towards Basingstoke from Newbury).

I haven't made a personal visit yet, although the more I hear the more I want to arrange it.

From the pics and videos I've seen, it looks the mutz nutz. Very flowing, and rewarding if you drive the track and not attack it. Very much like Kiddy in that respect.

What sort of pace were you on with the old B3? close to the factory boys and their B4's?

Nick Goodall

I have no idea of pace to be honest, i was up there for a few hours yesterday and eventually got the car running so i was just pleased with that to be honest... i ran a set of Bow-ties on the rear and some M3 ribs up front (From the Euro's 2001 haha) and it worked really well... i was just really happy at getting round the track clean for all but one lap!

I think the cars will be a lot easier to drive on these kind of tyres, but seeing Lee's B4 fly round with Yellow Mini's on makes you realise how quick people could be going, but i'd say are much more likely to make mistakes as the cars aren't as forgiving you know??

It'll be good in the damp too as again it'll be a lot "softer" if that makes sense, not like high grip and high tempo.
