which ansmann sct? sc4 or core?

hi which would be better to go for i know the core is the full size version but the sc4 is 4wd.

has anyone had experience with both?any info would be great thanks

well the sc4 doesnt have a slipper, but dropping the x4pro assembly in fixes that issue

I'm buying an x4pro kit, since its cheaper. Most of the parts are the same. I'm using the shocks, centre spur/slipper, centre cvd's and everything else will be spares. The stuff i cant use or dont need (shell, wheels etc) i'll sell to recoup the £100 cost of the kit.

so it would be worth while in my case buying both the sc4 and the x4pro and building the sc4 up from the x4pro parts then build up the x4pro from the sc4 parts as a basic car to sell?

At the prices the kits are its the cheapest way imo

Are you wanting a ansmann short course or a 4 wheel drive short course

best thing to do..

1) buy the Ansmann core (as it's the proper size as the likes of the Durango & Associated etc - other Ansmann SCT's are pretty much oversized variations of the buggies)
2) buy the Ansmann X2SC & swap the bling & uprated parts onto the core to make it into a pro spec truck

no excuse as Ansmann SC t's have been slashed in price so the X2SC was £150, now you can pick it up for about £80.. (the shocks alone are worth about £70) & the Core is about £65 from £130.. so get them while they are cheap.

Then you could build the basic truck up using the non blingy parts as a spare car for a basher, for the kids etc or just rape it for the spare parts.

wanting a kit to build and cheap so ansmann came up trumps price wise.as for 4wd or 2wd either im not fussed

I picked up an x2sc when the price dropped to£80. Ran it at Southport my local track (limited sc drivers). By the end of the day I was keeping up with the two guys running Durango 4wd sc trucks both running 1/8 speedos with 4pole motors!

....... Oh and I was running a 10.5 brushless!

I'd definitely recommend the x2sc at that price.

I reckon 4wd is much better than 2wd when it comes to sct. Combine that with Ansmanns cheap kits and it was an easy decision to go with.

i decided to go for the sc4 for now then upgrade when i have more funds.

myself and at least 3 others will be running the SC4 trucks at Southport now, so you should get a few more races with them over the winter.
Actually looking forwards to it after the F1's were kind of ruled out.

i got mine today and built it up was quite surprised at the quality of it compared to the macnum i had the other year.

had a couple of threads go on me while building it so had to dig out some longer screws to fit from my spares. over all though im impressed for the price well worth the money
