Evening all, new to the Kyosho ZX-5, what a machine, it goes together really well. Just quietly hoping the ZX-6 isn't too soon in coming......

I've looked at the options list and there's an optional alloy central stiffener and support LAW40. None of the set up sheets seem to make any mention of fitting this part. Is that because it's not fitted.

Does the Rudebits Spine Weight do the same task?

Hoping to get the car together for a first run out this weekend - if the rain stops for long enough ;-)

Thanks - Nigel.

Most people go for the carbon top decks (i personally prefer Nick Car''s versions) over the LAW40.

I will do a list of what option & why / when ASAP

I used to use LAW40 before I had my top decks made up... Seemed to help the car especially indoor slippey... I used to remove any weight too... Now I run the top decks along withe ally support that comes with LAW40.

Incidently I'm having another batch of top decks made up along with some RB6 bits.. These will be all made in Matt carbon and will look as close as possible to the O.E parts :)

The main purpose of the spine weight is to get some weight into the rear with a view to helping settle the rear on bumpy tracks.

Not sure if it helps with the stiffness at all (I would say not noticeably). Deffo recommend Nicks c/f top deck.

Where are you planning on running it this weekend?
