This is an invitation to drivers to come along to the legendary Eden Park and relive your memories during a National event and wow us with your superior talents! Saturday 28th June 2008.
Especially a call out to the likes of Kevin Moore, Graham Alsop, Richmond Rogers, Brennan Ralls, Jamie Booth, Jason Varley, Dave Duggan and Craig Drescher and many, many more.
It will be a fun race, no lap times, no timing equipment, purely an opportunity for you all to display your skills and abilities.
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST NOT BE ENTERED INTO ANY OF THE WEEKENDS EVENTS IF YOU WISH TO PARTICPATE IN THIS ONE.

This is being advertised with the whole hearted approval of Paul Worsley.

Vintage
Anyone driving a vintage car will be welcome to come along and have a race between the end of the qualifying rounds and the start of the finals. Again it will be purely a display of skills and not timed in any way. This will also be on the Saturday and run with the legends, if we get many entrants we may make it 2 separate races.
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE A BRCA MEMBER TO ENTER THIS EVENT.

I wouldn't have thought Paul Would allow that, as you would be getting extra track time, and could be seen as an unfair advantage for the finals.

Hahaha, with a ProCat? It would be a disadvantage! :woot:

Only people NOT entered in the National even can enter!!!!!!! I would love to see your ProCat ,but this would be deemed to be unfair!!!

Kevin Moore was at EPR yesterday, he even did a few laps, he is still very fast!!!

He said he would be up for a run between qualifying and finals!!!!

Any others that want to take part????

The original rules still apply.

Carl I have a B4 built there is a servo in it I can put the V7.1 in it and I also have some radio gear to put in it just need batts and a motor. The radio gear is a cheep sanwa but it will do to bash. You are more than welcome to borrow.

I have tapped up Richmond Rogers via Chris Boots and this should also include Richard Bettaney.

If Elliott Boots cant get an entry in 4WD, I think he is someone who we should include.

Dave Duggan will be there all weekend I believe so that's another potential candidate although I think the BRCA membership is going to be a stumbling block for the likes of Kevin Moore and Dave who are not actively racing.

I will have a stack of BRCA and club membership forms with me if anyone needs them though!

I contacted Jacquie Rowcliffe about this and she kindly came back with the following:

Hi Matt

I suggest that we allow any non-BRCA members to race under the "3 meeting rule" which states that a driver can race at a club for a maximum of 3 times before having to become a member.

As BRCA membership secretary I am prepared to allow the non-members to race in this legend race.

Hope this helps
Jacquie
