Hi lads,

Are there any specific details for the winter series as yet? Venue, dates, classes ran etc?
Apologies if I am missing the link from the first post but can't seem to see it

Chris.

Our first indoor club meeting will be next Sunday 14th at Birkdale High. This will be our inaugral meeting at our new venue and although a club day it will be open to none members as are all our club days. The details for the Winter Series will be posted in the next few weeks.

Watch for more details on the Southport site at www.srcc.co.uk (http://www.srcc.co.uk)

New jumps and bumps and the fresh new astroturf are on site ready for this Sundays 14th first meeting.

Even better news - just for this inaugural Sunday, doors will open an hour earlier at 09:00. More time for fine tuning, tyre choice etc.

Please be aware that as yet we are unsure what the ideal layout we will be for the new carpet, jumps, rostrum etc. This will obviously impact where the pitting space will be. So, on arrival - leave your gear in the car and help move the equipment from storage and build the track. Once this is finalised you can move in and start practising.

Looking forward to some AWESOME racing . . .

Good day had.

Racing on turf was much better than carpet.... And almost no tyre wear when compared to running pins on carpet.

Full size, tall rostrum I also thought was well worth extra effort of building, so much better than standing on benchs... Well done all the volunteers.
:-D

Thinking of coming next Sunday if you're running, any pictures of the track just trying to gauge how to set the cars up?

Today was the first meeting with the new surface and at a new venue so looking to improve week on week.
