Team Orion carbon pro. Had them since they first came out which is ages. Still faultless.
you're either doing something wrong, or you're unlucky...
I currently have 2 packs of lipo's
Pack 1 - bought second hand (believed to be 6 months old) nearly 3 years ago and used every 2nd week (ip4200 red)
Pack 2 - bought new just over 18 months ago and used every 2nd week. (ip5400 blue)
I know of 2 trakpower "gold" 4800mah's that are nearly 5 years old, have never been balance charged and are still impressive...

maybe unlucky I have had two packs of 30c saddles that my son runs and are perfect and over 3 years old
IMO the "higher" discharge ones are always going to have a shorter lifespan. I think both of my packs are 35c and I am no-where near the slowest car down the straight.

Have you used new corallys recently or are they old ones. A friend of mine had a problem with the tubes when using worn out connectors. They need replacing at least every year or when the spring goes if before.
On the battery side. I only charge to 95% capacity at just under 1S rating (so 5200mAh = 5.1A charge rate). The last 5% is the hardest for the battery and I don't balance charge. Probably check it every couple of months and it is never out by more than 0.01V (charged or after use). If batteries are out by 0.1V+ then there is something wrong with one of the cells.
On the Lipos. Have you looked at ThunderPower or Losi xcelorin??
