I used to race in North Devon (Barnstaple) in the early nineties, a bunch of us started getting tenth scales wheels made, we called these Ballistic Buggy. I'm trying to catch up with old rc friends and hoped someone may be able to help? I don't know if this is where the popular Ballistic Buggy tyres came from or if different?
Cheers :-).

Believe they are made in a factory in that part of the world.... Ballistic Buggy is the brand though, the manufacturer are named differently.

I know Ballistic used to make wheels under the same brand as the tyres, Dave & Jacqui Rowcliffe and the boys. They run the Tiverton club

Wasn't the manufacturer called wings'n'wheels or something? Before you say, I do know it's the name of a shop and an RC show of sorts, but I'm sure they were the one's who coined the whole "ballistic buggy" thing.

Wings and Wheels was the shop that the Rowcliffes owned

As others have said, Rowcliffe's owned and run "Wings and Wheels" a model shop in Tiverton and the "Ballistic Buggy" brand which did wheels, wings, inserts and tyres.
Now the shop has gone and I think the ballistic buggy brand only does tyres and inserts sold through XFactory.
Chris Rowcliffe will be able to shed more light on it if needed, he is a member on here but I'll let him post if he wants too.
