Stock kit tyres apparently work well on carpet.

Dboots or mini pins work and depending on the carpet surface kourse kings and minispikes work but only for a bit, ok my blitz I ran bald blue minipins and new blue minipins ok the rear

Yellow schuey minipins would be the popular choice with a couple of rows dremeled off either side of the fronts.
Last year I used dBoots Nanobyte A compound all round with fronts trimmed as above, found them to have a little more give on corners so allowed a little slide rather than grip roll with minipins, plus they are better on wooden obstacles and wear rate is better than minipins.
dBoots terrabytes will be a good choice too
Kit tyres should work but will be no where near as quick as the tyres above

for me its the deboots nanobytes they give you all the grip you need with out the grip roll i ran them on my sc10 and sc10 4x4 and i didnt need to cut any rows off at all and the wear rates good to i found the mini pins very good but you need to cut a lot of rows off and they wear faster than the deboots so dont last as long the kit tyers work realy good to just make shore you put the moulded inserts in any tyers you use not foam ones

Well the truck came with a set of part worn nanobytes and stock tyres on the front and i was very happy with the way it handled on carpet
think i will invest in a another set of nanobytes and ill be happy!
is it worth changing to hex wheels or sticking with the stock style wheels
i cant see any benefit apart form being able to interchange with other manufacturers wheels

All the bearings became sloppy as the plastic wears in my wheels over time making the steering vague.
I bought a complete front end from a SC10 RS on eBay shipped to the UK for a very low price.
Arms, camber links, bulkhead, hinge pins, hubs and hex style steering arms for only a few pounds.
Just make sure they ship to the UK and keep sticking silly bids on then one day you win for pennies.
All new unused, they break RTR trucks for parts over there.
I can now use the same wheels front and rear and my 4x4 wheels.
