I have heard back today that Kyosho are no longer doing the SP conversion kit - It was about £65.00

They are now selling the components of this kit separately and it will set you back a staggering £120.00

I ordered from Microtechracing.com

It went on to back order as soon as ordered. As soon as they got the news from Kyosho they gave me a call. After sobbing into an empty wallet for 15minutes I went to the second stage "anger" then "acceptance" then "paid", now just waiting for the parts. IT HAD BETTER BE GOOD!

That is a great price!! Puts DMS and Model Torque to shame, but hey we cant all be cheapest all of the time, and we do all have special offers from time to time. Just hope Kevin and Keith have it in stock for you, I am sure they will.

It was part LAW35 and then bought the additional triple shock caps. I hope it goes well.

You said you ordered from Microtech, which is run by Keith and owned by Kevin.

DC is run by Dom

There were pics of a BJ4/B44/D4 styled production car at the Shizuoka show...might explain why they're ditching the SP conversion kits?

Perhaps there is a little confusion here about which SP kit people are talking about? LAW34 (the original kit for the rear end) would have retailed around £65, LAW35 (the new front end etc) would be the £100 or whatever was mentioned one.

Personally I would be quite pleased to see the back of these upgrade kits - LAW34 was OK - but adding LAW35 was a bit much - even if you buy them all you still don't end up with a "real" SP.

Whereabouts is your real shop? Always good to know of racers shops in the North East.

I was talking about LAW35 not the rear conversion. It's all sorted now though. The guys at DMS are sending the one they had left in stock. Many thanks DMS!!!

Although that now means that they are rarer than rocking horse $&@!

Just to confirm that all the LAW35 have now gone.

sorry to anyone who missed out but as with all these upgrade kits there is only so many made and we only have one or two chances to get for our stock.

As you know we had enough to offer a really good deal on the stock we had of ZX5 with the SP conversion. then to fill the gap waiting for the SP plus extra.

Point to Note! if an FS conversion is released (no confirmation yet) please dont wait for a year to order as you may miss out.

Neil, "LAW38 - FS conversion" is already on the Kyosho site mate, looking fairly official that it is coming to me, states June 2008 too.

LAW38 seems to be a saddle pack chassis?

Darren Boyle

Thats right Front motor and Saddle pack batteries, hence the FS (I think this was mentioned in a thread by Jimmy a week or two ago as well)
