Hiya

For the last few years i've only run TC with a 13.5t hooked up to the TekinRSPro. Basics are all the settings are pretty maxed out but I know this wont be the way to go for off-road, especially 2wd and with a 7.5t !

Could anyone kindly send me or post up a base setup for your Tekin using a mod motor (idealy around the 7.5t mark) in a 2wd buggy please ?

Would be good to have a base to work from.

My initial thoughts would be to back the turbo right out to say 6 or 7, and to come on in after say 8000/9000rpm. Timing to be around the mid point. Turbo delay to be around 0.5, ramp to be 1 or 2. I will leave the physical motor timing as standard (smack in the middle). However this may all be totally wrong :bored:

Cheers for any help guys

Have you looked at the Tekin Team driver set ups, you can find them here;

I did, but there is alot of varience between setup sheets. As such i was looking for someone UK based who has been running a setup for a while

thanks though

I would start with this: (Scroll down half way down the page)

I am running the RS Pro with a Redline 7.5 motor in a Cougar SV2, but I cannot remember my settings I am afraid. :blush:

Rather than copy someone else though I started with a basic set up and just kept tweaking it after each race. By basic I mean things like neutral width, throttle profile, minimum brake, brake strength etc were all default settings.

I started with no turbo and no boost, and also no drag brake and after after run I connected back up to the laptop and changed things.

I found this approach took maybe 4 or 5 races to find something I was happy with, but I did prefer this than trying to make someone elses profile work for me.

Things I can remember are that I still run zero boost but have added some turbo with a delay as I found I was flattening out on the home straight so wanted the extra kick. I am also running 5 on drag brake as I find this enough to take the edge off my speed without locking the wheels. Throttle profile is still 3, and neutral width is still default. Brake strength is 100, with minimum brake somewhere around 10-15. I drive very much reliant on the 5 drag brake so when I do use extra brake it is usually for hairpins at the end of long straights and find this set up stops me quickly without losing control. I am racing on high grip astro though so may not work as well on low grip tracks.

Like I did though, I would advise backing all turbo and boost etc right back to nothing then taking your laptop to the track with you and tweaking it after each race until you find what works for you personally.
