With the other insurance thread in mind (http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109897&highlight=insurance), and the BRCA insurance limitations I'm also interested to hear what further insurance clubs have in place. We use a whole separate policy with a mercantile insurers tailored to cover everything that happens at Robin Hood Raceway / RHR Dirt for event insurance, property, computer equipment, items we hire (for example £30,000 cover for a marquee), third party injury, it also covers club volunteers as all insurers I've spoken with tell me that club volunteers are technically employees and whoever 'organises' them must take responsibility for their safety, basically everything you could think of, always better to be over insured than under hey! We even cover when alcohol is being sold on the premises and post flyers and posters stating the risks specific to site for any visitors (as the BRCA suggests). This costs us £750/year. Would like to know which other clubs have something similar, how much it costs and if your club doesn't have this why not.
