Hi folks,
I have built the Cat SX3 Pro. I have managed to fit everything in apart from I forgot about the receiver battery pack. I went to fit this, but I have absolutely no space to fit it. I have had to cram the esc, on/off switch, receiver and the capacitor pack on on the left had side, just forward of the motor. On the other side there are no extras, just the servo and motor. I battery just will not fit anyway to fix it on. Can you guys please give me advise and also provide pictures of your layouts with everything installed.
Much appreciated,
Chris

Well the receiver says 4.8v and each of the batteries are 7.4v. Have I missed something completely obvious??

You don't need to run an additional battery pack in an electric car the main lipo will power the lot

Through the speed controller. Have you looked at your instructions?

Not 100% sure what gear you are using as you don't say but generally using a 2 cell lipo the esc has a thing called BEC, this will power the RX with the correct voltage thro the ESC to RX plug
Think that correct.... It will work fine with the ESC you have listed and no RX pack.

I bought the speed controller 2nd hand so never got instructions and doesn't show in my receiver instructions. Im using the GT2 Pro ESC. If you can help me here it would be much appreciated.

Yes, no receiver pack needed with that speedo. Speedo should plug into CH2 on the receiver the speedo should plug into the battery depending on what connectors your using.
Hope this helps,
Sam

Nope still nothing, I have it wired as per the diagram, the + - of the ESC is connected to channel 2. But the receiver wont be powered unless a power source is connected to the + - of the receiver. Sorry for being totally stupid

Maybe the BEC on the speedo is goosed, any chance you could try another speedo. One other thing do you have the wire from the speedo to the RX plugged in the right way round? The White wire is for signal, red pos and black negative.
Any chance of some pictures of your install to give us some more ideas?
