Battery for a transmitter

I have an old Sanwa Gemini 2 transmitter that I still use without issue. Unfortunately the old NiMH cells that I use to power it are nearly on their way out. Does anyone know of an alternative set of cells that I could use?

Are you looking for a pack, or individual cells?

If you are looking for a pack, there are lots and lots listed on eBay (and surely available from your local shop as well) in the common sizes. Last time I replaced a transmitter pack I got a Vapextech pack (but we are talking 5 years ago - shows that the pack lasted well).

For single cells, Sanyo Eneloops are the best I have used (other low-self discharge cels might be similar). A place called "7dayshop" is generally the cheapest place to get them and I have used them a few times.

Best thing to do if you have a Li-po charger is buy a 3 cell Li-po pack to fit your transmitter. I went Li-po last year and never looked back, they last for approx 3 months between charges with weekly use.
