Hi guys

My little boy has been racing his ftx vantage brushed for a few
On this now and is doing well. It's his birthday very soon and thinking of getting him some new bits.

Only upgrade so far is he is using my spare servo which is quicker than stock.

Don't want to go overboard as he is only turning 6. Is it worth getting a quicker brushed motor as a simple step, if do what would you recommend. Standard motor is a 550 15t, but not sure how good it really is.

Other option is a lipo conversion, but obviously going to cost more as I will need to change the esc.

Any other ideas. Don't think he's ready for brushless.

Cheers.

I have the Carnage which is an amazing basher..one day might get the vantage.

One of the first up grades I got was the anti-sway (http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml_product.php?range=RACING&productId=0000006351) bars which really improve the handling so I think that would be a great choice and a cheap one.

Another nice thing to do would be to give the car a personal touch just for him and find a nice new body shell for it and get it painted or paint it together as a project. I think the phat bodies Gohuwj for the b4.4 (http://phatbodies.bigcartel.com/product/associated-b44-1-gohuwj) will probably fit...

And of course, can't go wrong with a new motor, you kinda have to replace brushed motors every several races anyway.
