Try Andy at PBM Racing for spares, he carries a good range of Kyosho spares and I know that he has springs in stock. 01773 769323.

In regards of mods you only really need to put about 35/40 gram of weight in the front end, atomic carbon rear shock tower (to give you the option of standing the shocks up straight) and change the ball studs links from kit, front end inner, middle hole with no washers, rear end, shortest links with 4mm of washers on the inner.

Enjoy the car.

The Kyosho cars are very well supported for spares now and I'd say that all the good model shops carry the Kyosho range. I get most of my racing kit as a whole from Dom @ DC Racing including my Kyosho stuff and have never had a problem with availability ..... well only when the problem has been out of his hands with FDL.

Where are you racing?

The reason I ask is that it'll make a difference to what you need for the car.

Assuming your UK based........

Springs wise you'll need #70 silver fronts (2 pairs so you can cut one pair) and aside from the kit #70 silver rears I would get the #68 and #72 purple and blue springs.
It might be worth getting a full set of yellow springs in case you need to soften things up a little.
If your running indoors on carpet get the #75 light green fronts and the #80 green rears

As far as upgrades are concerned I would recomend the following

Atomic Carbon rear tower
Ceramic diff balls
Ti turnbuckls

I would also consider the wider rear end (la243 arms and 65.5mm driveshafts) although that is a personal preference thing and not necessary.

Hope that helps

Racing in Ledbuy

There 10th Track is Grass and Dirt.

I have the stock spring that come with the car but thats it.

I am running a Novak 5.5 Velociti motor.

I am having problems with there not being much on power stearing. Any suggestions.

Am i correct in thinking that the higher the spring number the harder the spring.

I see that some people are suggesting putting weight on the front of the are. does this make a diffirence

Cheers

Richard

ANY OTHER USEFULL TIPS WOULD BE GREAT CHEERS AGAIN

What you need my friend is my basic set-up ..... it has been honed at Ledbury to the point that EVRYTHING I try and do to improve it makes the car slower round a lap .... not saying it's perfect but I can't make the car work any better!!

Higher the number the stiffer the spring.

I'd say a 5.5 is too much motor .... I am running a Novak 6.5 and actually think that is too much motor!

The weight makes a big difference ... I'd go as far as to say that you'll never get it to work properly without it!!

Sounds like your car is way overpowered. Even at Oswestry, the top boys are running 6.5 Light Novaks. As on a previous post, add some weight to the front of the car as this well help.

Hi roger Please can you send me a copy of you basic setup that would be great.

How much weight would you suggest in the front.

Humm i did think at the time of buying the 5.5 that it was a little to much maybe i will swap it out and put a 6.5 in.

ANY ONE WANT A 5.5????????

What about turing the power down on the controller??? would this help
