when adjusting the slipper clutch,i noticed that if you slacken the nut off to much.the spur gear start's to wobble:thumbdown:if you have the nut end flush with the thread bit,it runs nice and true:)with me being a novice 2wheeler,im finding it tricky to get the power down smooth:cry:so looking to try a bit slacker if me 12x1 is to much.ive been running a 10x2.the main thing that concern's me is,could the spur gear strip:confused:if its wobbling.

i have changed my locknut on the slipper to a nut thats a bit flatter, that way i can loose it a little more then with the original nut, wich i had so loose so i lost it :)
anyway the spur seems very durable, i stripped one when the whole motorplate came loose but other than that no problem

when you aren't using the car for a few days, clamp the nut up fully tight and leave it until you next use the car. then slacken it off again. The spring should then be slightly shorter and offer a more consistant slip, plus the nut won't be so close to the edge.

i would probably ruin a couple of runs before remembering to loosen it again

HI guys

for those of you having problems with finding spur gears and slipper pads for your rb5. Heres what i did for mine.

I repalced the slipper pads and the spur gear with B4 ones.

Yes it it does work a treat and the b4 ones are more readly availible.

if you want for information ask

Richard
