also why is all the races way up north?? the closest one to me is 120 miles away. this is just plain madness. and i wanted to do it this year, that is why i just spent over 600 pounds on gear... now looking at this i may as well sell up.

Very true, it would have been good to have a round at Clanfield.

Think its all pretty much open james. This is what happened last year, they just let us be sensible with things and not go overboard.

Shorter finals this year so no need for larger capacity cells.
No bump ups though which is not good in my opinion, but hey, we'll see how it works.

It'd be nice if we could see a few more of the tenth guys having a go at this series. :) Get the numbers up.

I'm not even comenting on the distance thing as I've travelled down south for numerous national series for the last 19 years and not moaned once. If you want to race at national level and compete against the best in that class then you will travel. Nuff said.

Like I said, pretty much open ;) apart from the obvious 14.8v max.

I think with the shorter finals next year we may see some fast cars on the grid with high kv motors. :)

120 miles? It really is relative. Texas is larger than England and we have the "RC Pro Series" of Texas with some locations over 500 miles away from each other. Each of these 2 day races average 180-250 entries with a 250 entry cap. http://www.rcfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31111

Us Yanks are used to this driving I know, but we use it as an excuse to take off for a few days from work and time AWAY from the wives or girlfriends. We drink, see a ball game, go to the beach and the local racers show us out-of-towners where the best bars and sights are. Many who can't afford to go by themselves carpool and share hotels with other racers and make a mini-holiday out of the whole thing. It unites Texas racers greatly! When the best of the best do leave the state for a National level race, they now know each other and room together when traveling very long distances. 120 miles is only 2-4 hrs. Some people around new york city commute 2hrs thru traffic to work every day!

Make a fun trip out of it, it is all relative. :lol:
