I do not know if somebody came up with this, but i would post it anyway cause it is good mode. I was sick of loosing pins and other parts of my drive shafts (especially dogbones) so came up with idea how to protect it, now the greas last longer, no dust and if something get loss it would stay in place. You would only need a heat shrink tube.

great idea been done lots of times before but just a helping hint, don't cover the joint just the bit were the pins are or you'll make the joint stiff and that will affect handling

the joint is not stiff, zero affect on handling. I have looking for the most flexibile tubes and 1 of 10 išv found it. Covering joints is also good to keep it clean and grease.

agree with big red here, heatshrink is not flexible enough and how you ahve done it it will split easy, better off getting proper driveshaft boots such as durango's

this heatshrink is super flexible and looks like first day after 3 months of racing. And is a sin to mix durango and tamiya parts :)
