As would like to get a old school race running

rules would be
Stock car
Stock tyres
Stock silver can
Stock esc electronic

Up grads aloud

Ball bearings
Servo
Lipo stick pack
And that is it

If any one is up for it put your name on here

Hi guys,

If this took off then we would change the track layout for vintage nights. i.e remove the cross over lol.

Does a Losi 22 count as vintage :p
This could be a giggle and a good excuse to buy me Tamiya Wild one!!

Might be a reason to get my Hotshot off the shelf. But we wouldnt be able to have any big jumps , otherwise the marshall at the other side would have to have carrier bags with him to collect the parts:D

Would 1991 count as cheating ? And can a mechanical esc be up graded as if a mech one jams there is no stopping it !

We've been running a vintage series at Caldicot for a few years now as a winter distraction from the main classes...

I ran my Tamiya Thundershot twice in the very first series we did, bit it just kept disintegrating, so I retired it permanently!

We use a minimum age rule for the chassis, but then leave the rest of the rules open, so any electrics basically...lipo's burn out the old school electrics way to quickly so it seems to work better that way.

And it does mean that often the quickest vintage time of the night is practically on the pace of the modern cars...in the hands of our top guys at least :woot:

The vintage racers do love it though...they always come off the rostrum smiling :D

I was thinking one make racing like tamiya hornet/grass hopper Cus they are cheep and there is lots of them about fun car to drive and ralatively strong if left with stock motor I won't to keep it fun for every one and on the same playing fild don't wont it to get to serious well that's the plan :woot:

I'd be up for this- just have to decide which car. Would love to get the hornet on the crossover so don't change it lol!
