Looking at a A4 2.7TDI Audi estate at present with 48k on the clock.

anyone any experience of them?

It's to replace a S40 T5. - potentially!

Good car, if a sline will have a hard ride that eibach springs improve.
usual vw diesel items check turbo and has correct oil been used in it. should have had cambelt by now, check for rattles and squeeks from front suspension these are normal from the alloy arms but not expensive.

It's an auto and a mate from shark performance has said that too.

Was still tempted to drive it, but....

Yup S-line spec, full leather, sat nav etc

Had a Leon Cupra before and eibach springs and koni fsd shocks sorted.

Dont get me wrong the auto box is great, my dad had one, but i wouldnt buy a second hand one..... plus the economy on the cvt box is really poor!

Second the eibach on koni fsd's

Can't be as bad as the s40 T5 auto. Volvo proudly told me it's a Porsche box, I replied great but with shite Volvo software controlling it lol

I may test drive it anyway.

Asked my old garage JKM the good, bad & ugly. They are a vag specialist.

Have a look for the 3.0 tdi, it is a much better engine, i would buy that over a 2.7tdi any day........

or look for a 2.0tdi quattro and hybrid the turbo.............

I was looking at the 2.7 as well but after doing a fair bit of research the 3.0, in any form, is just a much nicer lump. It's the really flat torque curve which makes the 3.0 TDi seem so strong, also aids economy as your not using the box much at all.

Agree with manual or DSG, stay away from the CVT IMHO.
