Rear hub strength

After quite a hard crash at batley yesterday I ripped a piviot ball out of my rear hub , is it worth getting alloy ones ? Or are the kit ones strong enough and I need to accept that they will break after a hard crash

You could always fit a longer ball with a nut on the back. Ally ones are very nice though and give you the option to play with the vertical height.

I have done that a few times. A few good tips are:
Fill the nearby holes with grub screws as there isn't a lot of material between the holes.
Put a metal 410 spacer or something similar on the stud side to spread the load a bit as well.

Like the previous thread I use a metal spacer and a longer stud with a nut on.

I also did this recently, mbmodels do alloy ones (exotek) in black for £23, cheap as chips and hard as nails

I use the Exotek ones and they are excellent. The quality is amazing especially for the money and they are half the price or the TD alloy hubs too.
