hi there

has someone try to reaming out associated spur gears?
i need a 81 spur gear. the schmuacher will fit, i know.
rw spur gears: i dont like the quality of the rw spr gears. they are not round enough.
i like durango spur gears, good quality but 81 size is never avaible here.

i dont wanna to buy the tresrey slipper shaft.

someone try to reaming out the asso spur gears?
i run my dex210 with a 6.5 engine on carpet and want to gears with the smaller spur gear.

asso spur gears are always avaible, so i think its better to try this

thank you

I swear by RW spur gears, they are as hard as nails. I run them in the 210 and 410 because they've never let me down in the past on any car I've had.

hi

i ordered three of tehm, they al were round like egs in all sides.
they last not longer then 10 minutes. maybe i got a bad charge of them. the durango spur gear has a better quality and fiish but 87 is too big for a 6.5 engine

Hi,

why is an 87 spur too big for a 6.5 motor???

I run a 7.5 indoors geared on a 24 pinion with a kit 87 spur.

You can quite easily gear a 6.5 on a 23/24 pinion with the kit spur.

If you're wanting to use a smaller spur on a 6.5, then you will be over geared.

I use a 21 pinion on a 83 spur on a 6.5 it helps to move the motor back for more traction and roughly keep the same ratio.

Yeh using a smaller spur for that reason makes sense and something ive tried myself, but i wasnt sure if he was just saying an 87 spur is too big to get the gearing correct on a 6.5 motor.

Racing on carpet, i wouldnt have thought he would be wanting to move the motor further back, as rear traction shouldnt be an issue.

Could be wrong though :eh?:

yes is imposible to drill asso spur but you must very carefully to drill at the center of spur.if you do that is working perfect.huppy new year

yes you can do it…
I've done it on my 410, you just gotta make sure the tolerances are good and not too loose…

I have never had an issue with RW, but its possible the plastic has got cold then hot quick if it when through the air, this might (might) warp them slightly.
