Seen a banner on central booking with the title above but no more info as it just says coming soon.

Anyone got any cheeky inside info they can let slip?

Found it on centralbooking - why would it specify 21.5 2S? I thought the BRCA were moving towards 13.5 1S...?

Like the idea but clashes with the 1st offroad national at the mighty Kidderminster Club (which your meant to be at Adam ;) )

I emailled the organiser about running 1S and they wanted to run 2S as thats what they thought you local boys would go for.

I booked in and was going to get a new battery for it but if you guys all email and tell him your local and want to run 1S then hopefully both will be allowed.

Email address is on the central booking page.

I spoke to the organiser on this ant it's just a bit if confusion over the rules. Most clubs in the south run 21.5 so this is why 21.5 was stated however 13.5 1s is still permitted as it is a BRCA Class. We will be happy to run both together

If that is official, then great, but can it be put up on CentralBooking, then I won't have to order 3 batteries and 3 motors :)

Hi Shane

Thanks for the update, will tables and chairs also be required? It would be great if we didn't need to bring them......

Yes you will need to bring your own tables and chairs..

The organizers do plan on sending out a full update closer to the time..

Do you know what timing system will be in use?

Will the MRT transponders be ok?

No idea what Timing system will be in use but I can 100% guarantee the MRT will work or I and most of our regulars will be going home early.

I know the racing format for the touring cars is laid out, but is anybody able to give any information for the GT12 class.

I'm guessing its 2 heats of ten, but:

How many rounds
Is qualifying on FTD, or is it round by round and how many count.
Are finals 1 race or 2 or 3 leg finals.
Are tyre additives allowed and if so, is it those listed by the BRCA.

TIA

A few weeks ago it was mentioned that we are looking for people to man a stand at the event to promote the club. I am not going to be attending on Friday (family party - why do they plan things on a Friday!) but I wanted to let you know that I will be attending both days but not racing so happy to man the stand. I am working on the Friday before hand so unfortunately can not come along to help set up as has also been requested.
I will be back next week so let me know what is needed in preperation for the event.

I think getting you to man the club stand at the GP is a great tactic to ensure we get no more newbies at the club following this event :p

Thus meaning I still get somewhere to sit every week

I would feel hurt by this if I knew it was not true!

So, the dust has settled and we can reflect on a fantastic event. Well done to everyone involved and of course to Ade and all the other organisers. GERCC did themselves proud and the number of people who came up to a rather difficult to locate part of the shopping centre and then went over to the stand to enquire about what we do shows what a great job they did.

Not everything went 100%, timing loop issues, the PA system was not always easy to hear from the pit area, etc. That did not detract from a smooth running and exciting to watch event for the public who attended. Now, when's the next one!!
