You will need more than just 17mm hexes as the thread of the axle is bigger in 1/8 wheels

Last time I checked will th thread on most 1/8th cars is part of the hex :p

That was aimed at. Hpi-guy. Lol. Just noticed your name might be will

As far as I know there is no commercially available solutions wether or not its possible to use parts from durangos 1/8th scale cars or not I am not sure

Just out of curiosity what is the reason you would want 17mm hex? Most types of tyre are now available to suit sct wheels and the durango wheels are relatively cheap as well

I know, I never said they weren't :p but 1/8 wheel adapters are avaliable but whether or not they fit the rango is another question

Any tyres in particular you were after? Sct tyres are becoming more and more available with brands such as dBOots Schumacher and Louise joining the likes of proline aka fastrax and jconcepts who already made tyres.

Also worth noting that if your planning on running your truck at big meetings or at certain clubs. They will only allow it to be using the sct style of wheel

Sorry cant help much with the 17mm hexes.

Watch the video for trucks on dirt and you will see my problem no grip at all from most sct tyres I had with me. my cougar had dboots on and was good but I have sorted It ordered some proline badlands they will work but may chew up the track so will have to see
