Winterjumps 2012-2013 - Finnish Indoor Electric Off-Road Series (Videos)

It's not a good idea to race outside during the winter in Finland. That's why we have growing amount of indoor facilities for on-road and off-road racing.

Our Indoor Electric Off-Road Series is called Winterjumps and it's been now running atleast 6 seasons. The series has kind of national indoor championships series reputation, but with slacker rules.

Our control tyre is Schumacher Mini Pin or Mini Spike depending on the surface. Fortunately this season it seems like our races will be raced mainly on concrete floors which gives us outdoor like conditions.

Six races will be held and best of 4 results are counted in final standings.

5. Jyväskylä
6. Helsinki

The season opener was held at Tikkurila 15 minutes from Helsinki. Local RC club has rented nice facilities from shopping center.

Second race was held at Nokia (yes, the Nokia was named after city) where local club had to move back to smaller facilities for this season, but they managed to create awesome race track anyway.

Third race was held at Turku where this one Finnish rc shop has rented big hall next to the shop. The place is awesome and the race was run with solid experience.

Next race will be run at Kuopio on second of february 2013.

Fourth event was held in february at Kuopio. Although few fastest guys was absent from this event, we had good racing on this pretty tight but surprisingly fast track.

Next race will be run at Jyvaskyla in the of march, 2013.

Fifth and second to last event was held in the end of march at Jyvaskyla. This track is my home track and I had some high expectations what comes to racing for TQ and win in 4wd class. Also 2wd class was run.

Here is second 4WD A-final where I'm driving dark red DEX410 vs TQ guy Markku Honkanen in Pink DEX410. Second in the grid is ETS racer Viljami Kutvonen with his DEX410. It seems Durango is pretty popular with the fastest drivers in Finland at the moment.
