Awesome, very impressed how you got the standard rear tower to fit  and loving the clear front one, any plans to make it from carbon? i always thought it would be possible to mount the ball stud verticle like that.

Cheers Josh! The front clear one is just a quick mock up for a few more hole mounts... the plastic was only about £3 for an A4 sheet...
I might go CF at some point, but cutting it isnt easy, it also gets everywhere and isnt nice stuff!
Thanks..

Can you tell how bored ive been? :p...
I want to design my own shell, but i might try an X-6 for now, good thinking!

It might be worth sending your design to fibre-lyte, if you can have it made cheaper than the K-factory ones then it probably will be popular.

i havent got any CAD drawings or anything though, it was all done on paper :woot:

If you go in and ask them to design a part they tell you to mock it up in cardboard :p a paper drawing is more than adequate.

haha... but i glued the paper to the plastic, cut round it, then took it off in several small bits ;)

Send the plastic part or draw round it again :p i like the curvey design as well, definately think your onto a winning product there.

i may look into it and get some emails sent to fibrelyte... 4mm would be best i think... how much would you be willing to pay?

I think between £10 and £12 sounds about right from fibre-lyte (would be smaller than the B44 front tower i suspect) so probably about £14 which gives you a little profit after postage (cant see it being much to post) Also, you wouldnt need to post it, i can pick it up from the workshop.

what rear gearbox are you using?
Car looks very good, you tested it? I would love to have something like this but with an x6 gearbox if you fancy making one? :D

what rear gearbox are you using?
Its just the standard B4 one but with the brushed motor running in reverse effectively.

Hi Matt... It has been tested but only in its previous states, this is the "latest" version and is yet to be put through its paces... next time im racing will be in 4 weeks so ill give it a go then!
Just a B4 gearbox at the moment... i have thought of an X-6 gearbox though, that way it would run in the right direction without having to change motor wires etc...
I need to look into the cost of an X-6 complete gearbox and see if its worth it, or whether i should just buy an X-6
Thanks

The X-6's are very fast
But for the gearbox all you need is the casing, motor plate and another idler gear/shaft. Rest is just B4 internals.
