Hi lads,

Is there a chart anywhere comparing core rc oil thickness with other brands? I've found the chart on the Durango website comparing CST rating to WT rating but have heard the Core oil differs somewhat.

I was recommended 450 core for the front and 350 Core for the rear with 3 hole pistons when I built the kit which I worked out to be 35wt Losi oil up front and 27.5 wt in the rear, does this seem about right or am I under/over damped?

That seems rather soft suppost it depends what surface your running on i have just race at Worksop and have 40wt in the front with black pistons 4.0 springs and 35wt in the rear with red pistons and 2.5 springs car felt good shame the driver let it down..

I don't know what these K1 3-hole pistons are like, but for my 2WD buggy I use the CORE oils - 500 on the front, 400 on the rear - which works pretty well allround - clay, astro and carpet.

I wouldn't be too surprised if 350 and 400 too soft for astro and carpet though, especially considering the extra weight a 4WD carries - for clay it might work though.

Haha sorry I got a bit confused from the first reply I suppose... So are you looking to buy the correct bottles of Core oil or are you looking to use the matching Losi oils to the Core cSt ratings that where recommended to you? :eh?:
