Hi, Sorry if is on here somewhere just can not find it.

I have just brought a DB1 and have been offered some Big bore shocks but does anyone run the B/B shocks on a DB1. I have a RB6 and FS2 so run the B/Bs on them so would make it easier for springs and pistons. But looking around could not seem to find anyone running them.

Cheers for reading.

Hi Rob
i have run BB on my DB1 and it makes the car easier to drive as well as very good over big landings.
It was just a fraction slower on my personal lap times so with age against me i stayed with SB trying to extract even bit out - LOL

I was using Orange front spring with 5 hole standard piston and 42.5w
On the rear i was actually different to others that tried this and I was on a standard 5 hole piston with a white spring and 25w oil
Losi oils by the way

Hope that helps - certainly worth a try and see how you get on

I'm not anywhere near as quick as Tony, but when I tried BB's the car felt a little bit lazy... like it had lost a bit of its edge...

Rob, as you know I am a fan of the big bore shocks and I did run my DB1 with big bores as part of the comparative work I did with the car.

I also settled on similar oils weights & springs to Tony so it would suggest that is a good place to start.
For Yatton, as it is so tight, you might find that a Losi Blue front spring might be worth a try also.

I have to say with the DB1, and again recently with the Lazer, I found the car on big bores to be easier to drive for 5 minutes but not as quick in ultimate single lap pace so like Tony says if you want the very best performance out of the car then give the small bores a go.
Certainly indoors the DB1 on small bores is a VERY hard car to beat!
