The Almightly TeamC TM2
Why? Because i personally would say its the fastest car on astro you can buy being great on other surfaces too. Its got such a high cornering speed and its easy to drive. I have never done so well until i got the car instantly putting it in A finals that i would never of dreamed of!

Yokomo bmax2, why value for money, quality, speed and you get everything in the kit,you dont have to spend the same as the kit with alloy upgrades as they are included.
Plus the back up of spares

I think the New yokomo drivers would say otherwise ;)
I'm fancying the Team C myself. Hope its as fast indoors/slippy floor as it looks on high grip tracks.

Any of the Vega range are all great cars, tamiya, rb5, b4
A few have been up for sale recently.
You could grab a cheap B4 and convert it to a mid motor vega, they go very well and 99% of shops stock AE spares and they are cheap too!

Having seen an X6 Cubed up close, I'd have one of those in a heart beat. They go like stink and stick to the road like the proverbial.
Either that or a Centro. Centro goes well too.

Dex 210's are really good i prefer it to my x2c
Much easier to drive bit less forgiving however you can relax while driving it
The tm2 is a good car and quaility is is good from the servo back however its a standard x2c front which i personally dont thinks a match to durango and kyosho quality the rtr durango is worth it or pre build cougar sv2
For a first buggy

I haven't owned a Team C car (yet) so can't comment on the quality of them, but totally disagree with you about the 210. I've never had a car need more upgrades out of the box to make it durable than the 210. On the front end alone the shock tower was rubbish, the steering arm was rubbish, the ball cups are rubbish, the ball studs are rubbish..
And I managed to actually snap the front end clean off of my SV2.
Now kyosho is a different story, I've owned a rb5 Vega and a db1 and never broke a thing. Things wore out, but never broke!
That said, I had some very good races with the 210. But only after I had spent money on a load of Cream and Akula upgrades for it.

Why.... because i already own them so don't need to waste money on the next new car every other month to be trendy and can just buy Haribo and get fatter and unfashionable instead!

Well captain simple, the others have all be used by the paying racer. Team driver can make anything look quick and don't crash like the rest of us...

You must crash a lot then:woot:
I've run my 210 for a year now and ive only broke one thing on it and that was only because somebody had crashed at the end of the main straight at Worksop and nobody shouted!. Hit him at full speed aswell!

Since when has anyone aspired to be like the average paying club racer? Everyone wants to be Maifield, Cragg, Bradby or for me personally, Neumann. Yes team drivers make stuff look quick, because they are quick, and I realise they can make almost anything look quick. They are only still human though.
Completely aside from the fact that I was talking about the handling of the car rather than anything else.
I think the thing you're missing with your insufferable arrogance is that if you aim low, you will only ever achieve low. Aim for the stars and you might just hit them.

One of the best replies I've seen on this forum.
Well said.
My opinion is everyone will think that the car they run is the best out there. For my at the minute I'm enjoying running the sv2 nice easy car to drive for me.

No more than any other club racer, and a lot less than some. Maybe they have improved later batches of the cars, I don't know…. But look back to the 210 threads when they were released, the number of issues was above what you would typically expect from a new model.
I had one of these first batch cars and the quality of plastics used were poor. Shock towers broke for fun, especially the rear one, camber links changed themselves at will during a race, the steering arm broke if you sneezed on it, ball studs hollowed out to allow a hex driver in them shattered meaning a ball cup pop off then became a race ending issue.
Like I say, that was when they first hit the shops so they may well (I would hope that they did) have improved the quality of materials.
Once I put the Akula CF kit on it, the Cream alloy/CF front tower, and ball studs, turnbuckles and ball cups from another brand on it then I had some of my best races with it.
But even having to do that in the first place was more than I thought was reasonable. All new cars have issues of some sort, but I thought the 210 had more than its fair share.

same here
I'm 35 there is no way I'm going to have the ability of the likes of lee martin, neil cragg, Darren bloomfield, jorn neuman etc
I'll be happy to just be able to compete at the top of my club level and maybe get into the A or B finals at regionals and to a point where I'd feel comfortable heading to worksop
My gear is also nowhere near the best stuff. although My XB4 is a mighty fine piece of kit :wub
but i'll be paying that off for a while yet

Spot on, I am a newbie but closer to 50 than 40 just looking for a bit of a laugh and some great friendly racing. Of course I want to improve and get into higher finals but it doesn't matter much as long as there are people in and around my level. I got into a B final a couple of weeks back more by luck than judgement and it was frustrating as I was getting lapped quite a lot and was more worried about messing up others races than concentrating on my own. Much happier in the C with the rest of the folks I usually race with.

For what its worth...
Not all of the new X6 Cubed's have been driven by team drivers... there are 4 prototype cars up north and 4 down south and at our club a couple have been loaned out for other racers to drive, for us to see how others get on with them and to gain more feedback from a wider variety of abilities, all who have driven it so far (team or not) have all said it is very nice to drive indeed.....

I'm not saying itwon't be good, my x6 was one of best cars I have had. My point was theothers have been in the public's hands. How ever you have said that club racers have driven it, so my original point is now not vallied.
